Vaporwave is a re-design for electric kettle based on the existing technology. The purpose of the design is to build an aesthetic Kettle harmonizing with the home ambiance.
Ideation - The main concept of Vaporwave is to visually represent water vapor escaping through the lid. To achieve this, the design of the lid is bent up, resembling steam lifting it.
For a balanced appearance, the handle side was symmetrically designed to complement the curved lid. Considering ergonomics, the button is positioned and shaped to align with the natural placement of the thumb.
Temperature control - The base features two preset temperature modes that can be easily activated by touching the icon, which is embeded with photoelectric touch switch.
